Knee replacement is a surgical procedure where a surgeon resurfaces a knee damaged by arthritis. Metal and plastic components are used in this surgical procedure. After the surgical procedure you will be taken to an observation room and doctors monitor you for several days. After discharge, you have to continue your regular exercise and your physical therapy until your muscles are strengthened properly.
When you get back home after your surgery, you have to follow some instructions what your doctor advised you such as, keep clean your dry your surgical area and do not allow any pain in the knee during recovery. It can take few months to fully recover from knee surgery.
